Maybe it’s the cooler weather (goodbye, brutal southern summer ☀️ — hello crisp, cozy air), the colorful leaves blanketing the yard, or the start of my favorite holiday season — but this time of year always sparks my creative energy.

Around our house, that means lots of crafting, cozy movie marathons, and seasonal recipes as part of our from-scratch, natural-living lifestyle. Last night, we watched Hocus Pocus to celebrate the upcoming HP3 (with Thora Birch returning — my ‘90s fangirl heart can’t take it 🧙‍♀️), and tonight’s lineup includes Ernest Scared Stupid and Little Monsters.

The last few months of the year are prime time for small business owners — whether you sell digital products or handmade goods. My kids are diving into side hustles too: my 12-year-old makes bath and beauty gifts, my teen runs a custom clothing biz, and my oldest two are exploring baking, art, gaming, and app design. Watching them turn their hobbies into income reminds me how limitless online entrepreneurship really is.

FF Tip 3 - Have a Plan (and a Backup) 🗂️

Planning is your best friend when you’re juggling multiple projects — but so is flexibility.
Create a monthly overview to track launches, collabs, and major goals, and a weekly action plan to stay on top of smaller tasks. But also, build in buffer days and “Plan B” options.
Because let’s be real — life happens. There will be days when the kids are sick, tech crashes, or motivation vanishes. Having a backup system — like pre-scheduled posts, a bank of evergreen content, or emergency templates — keeps your business running even when you’re running on fumes.

FF Tip 4 - Work Smarter, Not Harder 🧠

You don’t have to do everything yourself (in fact, you shouldn’t).
Outsource tasks that drain you — hire a freelancer or VA (LIKE ME!) to handle admin, graphics, or social media. Repurpose the content you’ve already created — one blog post can become multiple social captions, an email, and even a short video.
Learn to batch and automate using time blocks: dedicate specific hours to focused tasks and use scheduling tools to keep things rolling while you rest or create. Working smarter isn’t laziness — it’s sustainability.
